Inside UK Parliament free guided tours
UK residents can request a free 'Inside UK Parliament' guided tour by contacting their Member of Parliament (MP).
What does the tour cover?
During this 75-minute tour, your guide will:
- explain the work of UK Parliament and its relevance today
- outline how the working spaces you visit on the tour are used
- set out ways you can get involved and engage with the democratic process
- highlight some of the dramatic history of the Palace of Westminster
When can I go on a tour?
During parliamentary sessions

| Thursday (evening only) | 7pm or 7:10pm |
| Friday | 3.30pm to 5pm |
Inside UK Parliament tours are not available on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, or on the day of some ceremonial events. Other closures may be announced at short notice due to parliamentary business.

Eligibility criteria and how to book
You must be a UK resident to be eligible for a free guided tour of the Palace of Westminster. These tours can be booked up to three months in advance.
UK residents (individuals and adult groups)
UK residents can request their free guided tour by asking their Member of Parliament (MP). You do not have to know your MP personally or support them politically to book this tour.
Alternatively, individuals or groups of UK residents can submit a direct request to visit by emailing our Visitor Experience Team at visitparliament@parliament.uk.
Youth Groups
Youth groups and other groups of young people can book a free UK residents’ tour delivered by an expert guide, either by contacting their MP or emailing visitparliament@parliament.uk.
Depending on group size, your group may be mixed with other UK residents who have requested to see Parliament.
School and colleges
All tours for schools, colleges and Virtual Schools run by Local Authorities for Children in Care must be booked directly via our Education booking portal.
These tours are delivered by trained staff from the UK Parliament Education and Engagement Team.
Other tours
We also run paid-for guided and audio guided tours of the Palace which run on most Saturdays and parliamentary recesses. These are available for anyone, including non-residents. These can be booked at UK Parliament Tickets.
